I was bummed when I saw this show listed a while back, knowing I’d be out of town. I’ve seen him live before and he does a GREAT show!

Though I assume I’m ineligible to win, this cracks me up every time it happens:

    "Okay, band meeting. Bret?"
    "Present."
    "Jemaine?"
    "Present."
    "Murray? Present."

One of my favorite episodes is the one with the racist fruit vendor (Aziz Ansari).
It has one of my most favorite FOTC song, "Leggy Blonde" in which Rhys Darby himself is the main vocal.

the third episode is my favorite… it had both the rap battle and the "what’s going on"-style song where jermaine questions the cost of sweatshop-made sneakers. rhys is the best part of the show, but that’s still my favorite episode.

"stay cool, murray. stay cool." SO GOOD.

The dialectic of hopeless ineptitude and complete conviction in one’s possibilities speaks to everything beautiful in humans.

Example (Episode 11): Cigar, trunk of the car, be-robed, bearded in full wizardly glory. At this exact moment, Murray finds his finest moment, the shining example of his manhood and negotiating skills, from humiliation and costly defeat.

Murray is sidekick in the truest, most heartfelt sense of the word, because he has no idea that he’s the sidekick.

my definite favorite Murray episode is where he uses his savings to finance a Flight of the Concords tour. Things go poorly. Murray tells someone to go "F" themselves.
