Spy on your neighbors: Webcam Mania

Doesn’t it make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that we’ve become our own Big Brother? Instead of the government watching us, private individuals have set up their own cameras to show the world what they’re doing in their own homes, while companies and government agencies stream their own video feeds to the public at large.

Heck, you can even keep an eye on Luke Ford to check up and see if he’s at his computer. Check out if he’s still growing that beard. Does he ever pick his nose? If you see him pull out some Kleenex and some baby oil, you might want to visit something else, like CreepyLA.

Below is a broad sampling of active webcams from the Los Angeles area - my only criteria for inclusion is these most show people, not just skylines or birdseye views. If I’ve missed anything, please leave it in the comments and I’ll update the list.

Enjoy, you peeping toms!

I love that the Pershing Square cam is pointed at the intersection instead of the actual square.

Of course there is the freeky deaky drug dealer around the corner who has one aimed at each of his neighbors and potential escape routes. Paranoia is a dangerous thing in the hands of a drug cobbled mind.
