One less car on the road.

My old friend Kristina Wong has decided to go carless in L.A.

It may not have been a gas-guzzler, but her vehicle was drinking up the bio-diesel and when veggie oil prices rose higher than gas prices + repair bills started adding up, Kristina started wondering if going carless was the way to go.

Well, the decision was kind of made for her when her bright pink bio-diesel Mercedes burst into flames while she was driving it in the Valley last week.

Thankfully, she escaped without injury, but she had to say goodbye to her beloved Harold (1981-2008).

So she’s beginning a new chapter in her life and writing about it here: The Wong Sans Wheels Chronicles

You know if she had a big lid she could have saved the car, isn’t that how you extinguish cooking oil fires?
