Archiving Angeles (AA): The Shoe Shine Boys

shiners.jpg

Ralph wanted to grow up to be a doctor. But, for this day, he was a shoe shine boy. And he was one of the best. Today’s operation: Could he finish his fries faster than Joey could drink his Coca-Cola?

The year was 1966.

I like the price differential I see on their respective boxes. Looks like Ralph rings up 15-cents a pair but Joey gets a nickel more.

Wish I knew where that stand is/was. Could be anywhere, but I’m gonna wish it was Jay’s Jayburgers formerly at Virgil and Santa Monica Boulevard.
