A few weeks ago I mentioned that ex-LA Metblogger Travis Keller was starting to DJ Tuesday nights at Bar Lubitsch. I went and checked it out and it rocked, and apparently I wasn’t the only one who thought so because not only are they still letting him do it every week, but another place in Santa Monica has slotted him for a different night on a weekly basis too! And, as if that isn’t exciting enough (I know you are excited) it’s not just Travis, pretty regularly he drags his friends along for the ride which is quite alright because Travis is only friends with people who have good taste in music. If you think She Wants Revenge is good you are totally fired. This week you can expect to hear tracks picked out by Travis Keller & Troy Boy (Buddyhead), Shepard Fairey (Obey Giant), Fred Sablan (Goon Moon), Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen), Jesse Hughes (Eagles of Death Metal) and possibly even some of their other friends. So what more do you need? Oh, fine, details.
