Diablo Cody isn't real, she's just an apparition that lurks in the women's bathroom at the Hotel Fig.

At least you know <strike>I'm</strike> she's not a vampire.

Good tip, Militant, and one I have used (though I usually lean my arm/shoulder against something steady rather than the camera). I was very annoyed with myself for forgetting my diffuser, which enables use of the flash without, well, looking like I've used the flash.

Militant Cam tip: When relying on relatively low light without flash, hold the camera against a wall, streetlight or other convenient stationary vertical surface to minimize blur.

Great atmosphere at the Hotel Fig. <em>On the way down to the dark basement, I found myself looking out for a fez-wearing, knife-wielding assassin. Fortunately, I was able to escape unharmed. But the mysterious Woman In Black seems to have a shiny object glinting off her hand. A personal-sized yet deadly weapon? A large diamond? Who knows?</em> Oh, sorry. I was just reading the J. Peterman catalog.

That's funny. I had just been telling Will Campbell and Matt Mason that Elizabeth Short had been known to live at the Fig for a time. aka, of course, The Black Dahlia.
