Get Rid of Your Old Rusty Paint Cans!

One of my goals these days is to really go green. And one of the first things on my list is to get rid of the dozen or so semi-filled paint cans and god knows what other chemicals that are festering away in my garage. But in the spirit of Earth Day, I know I can’t just toss them in the regular trash!

The City of LA comes to the rescue with their one day mobile collection event happening this Saturday, April 26th in the parking lot adjacent to Universal Studios in Universal City. It’s from 9am-3pm and they will accept all kinds of stuff that otherwise would be toxic to the environment: Paint, Solvents, Medicine, pool and garden chemicals, batteries, cell phones and just about any other item that contains toxic waste as a component. If you want more info, call: 1-800-98toxic.

Nice reminder and I’ll link back when I finish getting details on an interesting fund raiser using the toxic stuff.

Sounds like a Rant Casey plan if I ever heard one.
