the next round of community meetings to learn about progress on the Westside Extension Transit Corridor Study. These meetings will update you about the refined set of alternatives that will continue for further study and the schedule for future steps.
Yes. This means that Metro will be holding meetings to talk about meetings they’ve already had about a study. These new meetings will lead to more studies and future meetings about those studies. Then, Metro will release their findings, along with the news that they have no money to proceed any further.

Interesting. The yakfests trying to find ways to avoid opposition tend to give the cranky ones time to plot. Faster is better as they have less time to organize and summon like minds.
Interest subway, but isn’t that an awful lot of stops along the way which kind of defeats the selling point of being faster? It certainly will help a huge chunk of people going back and forth in that area.

The one thing that annoys me more than anything is that people just assume that the general consensus is that people in LA don’t like public transportation, won’t use public transportation and are addicted to cars. More and more, I talk to people and everyone that I know wishes that there was a real public transportation solution in this city. The city govt needs to take this need seriously and hack us out a decent subway system. People will use it if it actually goes places!
