Firefighter Dies In The Line of Duty

bdgband.jpgI just got an email from Brian Humphrey via the LA Fire Department blog that one the firefighters wounded in the earlier explosion near LAX has died. I know I speak for all of us at Metroblogging LA that we are very saddened and sorry to hear the news. Our hearts go out to the family and friends and co-workers of the fallen hero.

You can read more from Brian Humphrey at the LAFD Blog.

I hate it when a fire fighter or a policeman or a soldier dies in the line of duty. They are real sweet creatures to take on that job for all of us.

Thank you, Julia, for making this post from all of us. I am heartbroken for his family and friends and so grateful for the entire LAFD.
