Mayhap you’re looking for something to do this Saturday night? Mayhap, you’re hoping that something might involve A) zombies, B) hot rods, C) hot babes or D) all of the above? If it’s option D you’re looking for, you’re not likely to find a better place to be than “Greasers, Ghouls & Gals!,” a release party for the graphic novel Motor City: Volume 1 at Meltdown Comics. In addition to a group art show featuring art inspired by rockabilly culture, classic monsters and pin-up girls, the author and illustrator will be there signing books, and there will be free drinks from Redrum, Asahi and Sparks and clothing giveaways by Dogpile and Lucky 13. I’m also assured that there will be rock and roll music played at loud volume, a sure way to keep away both the squares and the soshes. Plus, since I have a piece in the show, I’ll be there somewhere hogging up the free booze and getting warmed up for the inevitable post-show rumble.
