Google Maps: Hybrid View

I’ve written before about how cool Google Maps is and how they’ve been adding features to make it even easier to get around – the newest of which is their Hybrid View. As you know you’ve previously been able to look up addresses on a map, and then switch to a satellite image of that area, well not there’s an option which allows you to see the satellite imagery with street names overlaid (including one way street info). This is going to be incredibly useful.

Yuh-huh… it seems like they’r integrating a lot of the features that are in Google Earth.

If you haven’t downloaded Google Earth yet, it’s great fun. I even upgraded to “Plus” for $20 which lets you a 3-d view of buildings, terrain, etc.

That is the most useful map of downtown LA I’ve seen in a while!
